About Us
There seems to be many challenges for the women of Mixed Martial Arts. From having limited female training partners to struggling with adequate options for fight match ups.
One trouble I have always found is getting good training gear and being able to compare like for like in one place. I want to be able to buy my gloves, gi, shorts and rashguard, all in one place. I want to have feminine cuts and designs to choose from. I want to have fast postage, and a direct contact for advice, queries and exchanges if needed. I want to feel safe I’m getting the right size for my body shape and good quality from the products.
And these are the things we are trying to achieve. From small Acorns grand Oaks grow! We are constantly growing our brand options, and are constantly researching the market to see who are supplying the best quality products for women. We also aim to provide solutions for every part of your training regime, not just on the mats!
We enjoy collaborating with organisations who actively support women's Martial Arts and the benefits they provide to women.
These are changing times, and women's MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Boxing, Grappling, Wrestling, Weight Training and Fitness Cross Training are all on the up and up. We may not over take the men, but we will sure give them a run for their money!
Lutadora Limited is the UK distributor for Fightergirls Alpha Female fight wear brand.
"I have always been a fan of fightergirls clothing from my first black rashguard purchase, Debi Purcell and the team in the US truly are the pioneers of female mixed martial arts and grappling clothing. The quality and cut is like nothing I've seen on the market so far and I am extremely happy to be collaborating with them!"

“Just because I fight like the guys – doesn't mean I want to look like them!”

Who are FighterGirls.......
| Founder of FighterGirls.com www.fightergirls.com |
My name is Debi Purcell. I am a professional female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Fighter, trained by the legendary Marco Ruas. I am the founding mother of FighterGirls.com, the original and first web site in the world solely dedicated to female fighting, including women's MMA (mixed martial arts), Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Grappling, and Wrestling. Female fighting has been slow to start and finding our place amongst the male warriors has sometimes been a struggle. In 2001, when there was little interest in women's MMA, FighterGirls.com was born as a way to help grow and evolve this sport and other fighting sports for the women. Since then, our beloved sport has exploded and female MMA, right along with it. Thanks to many people, female fighters have come a long way and you will now find most MMA shows in America and Japan feature women's MMA matches. FighterGirls.com has evolved with the sport and we now have a complete database of professional and amateur female fighters, a female fight school finder, a complete clothing line with rash guards, board shorts, and vale tudo shorts and one of the biggest and best female martial arts forums/message boards on the planet. In short, if you want to know anything about female MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Grappling, and Wrestling, you have come to the right place. My hope with FighterGirls.com has and always will be to help the women fighters network with each other and have a place for the promoters to find female fighters. It has always been a hope and dream to have the match ups evolve with the sport. This site is dedicated to the female warriors, whether their sport is MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, Grappling, or Wrestling, all deserve respect and acknowledgment. FighterGirls.com also strives to help movie and TV producers looking for females to appear in their shows. I have spoken with a few agents and producers and to my amazement, I learned it is hard for them to find women fighters that can actually fight. In the near future, I will be including a female fighter line of training gear to go with our growing selection of shirts and shorts. There is still much work to be done, and I know I am only scratching the surface, but with everyone's help I think this could work. I am in no way trying to segregate MMA and other fighting sports between females and males. I have the utmost respect for the male fighters in this sport. Without them, I doubt any of us would have learned most of what we know. I am just trying to make it a bit easier for us girls! Thanks ladies - YOU KICK A**! Debi Purcell |
